1.Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TameTube ("we," "our," or "us"), including our website at tametube.com, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating a parent account, accessing, or using TameTube, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

Eligibility Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and a parent or legal guardian to create an account and authorize child access.

2.Description of the Service

TameTube is a parent-controlled media curation tool and safe viewing player. Our service enables parents and legal guardians to:

• Handpick, organize, and curate YouTube videos and playlists into custom collections.
• Create individual child profiles with unique nickname avatars and Kid Access Keys.
• Enforce daily screen-time limits, allowed viewing schedules, and downtime bedtime lockouts.
• Provide children with an isolated viewing player completely stripped of algorithmic recommendations, sidebar suggestions, user comments, and autoplay loops.

3.Third-Party Content & YouTube API Terms

TameTube uses YouTube API Services to allow parents to search, preview, and embed video content. By using TameTube, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
• TameTube does not host, own, or store the underlying video files. All video playback occurs through the official YouTube iframe player in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
• Video availability, licensing, and geographic restrictions are controlled entirely by YouTube and original content creators. Videos made private or removed by creators on YouTube will automatically become unavailable on TameTube.

4.Parental Responsibility & COPPA Compliance

TameTube is designed with strict adherence to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international child privacy regulations:

• Verifiable Consent:Creating a child profile triggers verifiable parental consent via the FTC-approved "Email Plus" method.
• Supervision: Parents maintain sole responsibility for curating content and determining which videos are suitable for their children.
• Zero Child PII: Child profiles only store parent-chosen nicknames and age brackets. Children cannot communicate with other users, publish content, or view unapproved videos.

5.Account Security & Kid Access Keys

Parents are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials (Google OAuth or email/password). Child access is mediated via generated Kid Access Keys:

• Kid Keys are hashed securely and never stored in plain text.
• Parents may regenerate or rotate Kid Keys at any time from the dashboard if a key is misplaced or compromised.
• You must immediately notify TameTube if you suspect unauthorized access to your parent account.

When using TameTube, you agree NOT to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our platform.
• Circumvent, disable, or tamper with security features, screen-time locks, or authentication tokens.
• Use automated scrapers, bots, or crawlers to harvest content or system data.
• Curate or share content that is illegal, abusive, defamatory, sexually explicit, or harmful to minors.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit TameTube access without written permission.

8.Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

While TameTube provides tools to assist parents in supervising screen time and eliminating algorithmic distractions, TameTube is not a replacement for parental guidance. We do not warrant that all video content curated by third parties or third-party APIs will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAMETUBE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9.Multi-Region Service & International Use

TameTube operates across multiple geographic deployment regions (Americas / US, European Union / EU, and Asia-Pacific / AP). By accessing the Service, you acknowledge that your connection and data will be processed in the regional instance nearest to you or selected by your account preferences in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10.Modifications to the Service & Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When material changes occur, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify registered users via email or an in-app announcement. Continued use of TameTube following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
